Its industrialisation not only requires the technology, but a market as well. Thus, we need to develop applications that offer specific advantages to businesses. Only markets make the development of quantum solutions economically attractive. Germany and Europe not only have top-level research, but also strong industries that offer promising fields of application for quantum computing, such as mechanical engineering, production, and logistics, materials research and risk management. The\u00a0volume\u00a0of\u00a0this\u00a0funding is\u00a0remarkable\u00a0and\u00a0something of which we\u00a0should all be proud. At the same time,\u00a0we also note that the focus\u00a0is currently\u00a0on developing\u00a0hardware, whilst software\u00a0and\u00a0applications are\u00a0considered less important. It is a matter of\u00a0gathering\u00a0together various\u00a0participants\u00a0from industry,\u00a0science and politics.\u00a0That\u2019s why we need\u00a0a\u00a0dual\u00a0approach.
