Europe struggles to accelerate the rate at which it turns promising research results into technologies actually deployed in industry. At AIDAQ 2026 in Berlin, discussions highlighted that scientific excellence and industrial strength both profit from stronger connections between research, technology, infrastructure and industrial adoption.

As a Community Partner, QUTAC brought the perspective of industrial users to discourse around artificial intelligence, quantum computing, digital infrastructure and technological sovereignty. A central question was how Europe can accelerate the transition from innovation to scalable industrial applications.

Discussions underscored the importance of strong ecosystems in which infrastructure, data, research, industrial users and capital collaborate closely. Quantum computing is also increasingly becoming part of a hybrid computing landscape, working alongside classical systems, high-performance computing and AI.

For QUTAC, the event reinforced the importance of close collaboration between industry, research and other stakeholders across the European quantum ecosystem, such as in the Franco-German Dialogue among Quantum Technology Players.
